Brevard County Natural Resources has installed two signs in the City of Cocoa, at Riverfront Park along the promenade and at Bracco Park, showing the beautiful natural resources and recreation opportunities for residents and tourists alike to enjoy. The signs, which were a collaborative initiative between the City of Cocoa, Brevard County Natural Resources, and Brevard County Tourism, were made possible due to a grant from the Brevard County Tourism Development Office. Also as part of this grant, brochures were printed that will lead tourists to these destinations throughout the county and encourage residents and tourists to enjoy the natural resources responsibly.
The signs highlight the many walking, biking, and equestrian trails, birding spots, wildlife and manatee viewing, and places to kayak and paddle, shore fish, and access boats. They also have a QR code with an interactive map showcasing these spots throughout Brevard County and the ways that you enjoy them responsibly to protect the Indian River Lagoon.
