Residential customers inside the City limits of Cocoa will now contact Public Works at (321) 433-8770 or yardwaste@cocoafl.org to have all bulk yard waste that does not fit inside their provided yard waste can and which is approximately 3 cubic feet in size (about the size of a picnic table) collected. Previously, residents called Waste Management to request this service. City staff will then route this request through Waste Management to schedule a yard waste pick-up within 10 business days of the receipt of the request.
Bulk yard waste piles must be over 3 cubic yards, about the size of a picnic table.
Small, loose yard waste can be placed inside your yard waste container and put out on your curb on your regularly scheduled yard waste pick-up date. If your yard waste does not fit inside your provided yard waste container, you may also use your provided trash container as long as there is no other waste inside that can or you can store any loose yard waste near your home until your next regularly scheduled pick-up date where you can place the remaining items inside the provided container.
Yard waste should not be mixed with fences or bagged. Yard waste should also never be placed over any storm drains.
