At the Cocoa City Council meeting on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, Cocoa City Council approved a measure to assist unpaid, furloughed federal employees who have been impacted by the recent government shut-down with their Cocoa Utility bill. If a Cocoa Utility customer is a furloughed federal employee, who is currently affected by the recent government shut-down and is no more than two months past due on their bill, they may be eligible for extended payment terms. Those customers may contact the City of Cocoa Utility Customer Service division to see if they are eligible for the assistance.
