Provost Park East to close for maintenance renovations

In a joint effort between the City of Cocoa, Brevard County Parks and Recreation and the NAACP Central Brevard Branch, Provost Park East will be undergoing safety and security maintenance renovations starting Monday March 19th to Wednesday May 23rd.  During this period the park will be closed for both general use as well as reserved use. The west fields will continue to operate under normal recreational hours and reservations.  Due to the recreational needs of the community impacted by the maintenance renovations, scheduling at alternative City Parks will be accommodated.  Below is a list of items to be specifically addressed through the maintenance renovations. 

  • Facility Repairs – to include general cleaning, pressure washing, and painting
  • Tree Trimming – routine maintenance of park grounds
  • Playground Maintenance – to include mulching of play area
  • Athletic Field Maintenance and Repair – repairs to clay infield of softball field and weed treatment on both athletic fields
  • Security Gates and Fencing – repairs of existing and installation of new fencing and gates
  • Parking Area- general maintenance and re-striping
