Cocoa Police Department Strategic Plan Community Workshop
Wednesday, December 18, 2019
The Center for Public Safety Management has recommended CPD adopt a multiyear strategic plan in which performance goals and measurables are defined and executed. Recognizing the importance of public input, the City of Cocoa has scheduled two public meetings to discuss this plan and afford an opportunity for public participation.
-Share ideas on how to use police resources most efficiently.
-Best ways to reduce crime and improve quality of life through public safety.
-Provide input on setting police service goals and objectives for the next 5 years.
-Work together to find solutions in a positive and meaningful way.
The workshops are being facilitated by the University of Central Florida School of Public Administration and moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. David Mitchell. Dr. Mitchell specializes in strategic planning and management, completing a variety of strategic plans for government agencies in the Orlando, Chicago, and Kansas City regions.
