  • Plan, design, and obtain permits for the drinking water transmission and distribution, waste water collection, and reclaimed water distribution systems
  • Inspect utility construction for new developments and utility relocation project
  • Prepare product and performance specifications and installation procedures for utilities system additions
  • Maintain all records for the water, waste water, reclaimed water, and drainage systems
  • Obtain permits from other agencies for new underground installations
  • Respond to requests for information from other utilities, builders, plumbers, contractors, developers, other city departments, and citizens
  • Provide plan review for new construction and development site work
  • Establishes development costs letters after plan approval
  • Provides inspectors for field review of construction, and testing in accordance with approved plans.
  • Provide contract management, payment processing, and documentation of "as built" and permit data
  • Direct and perform design, drafting, modeling, and preparation of plans, permit applications, specifications, and bid documents for the city's construction projects
