Rental/ Mortgage/ Utilities Assistance Application Checklist

Please provide the information listed below to apply for rental, mortgage or utility assistance through the City of Cocoa Coronavirus Relief Fund. Complete applications will be processed in an expedited manner.

Only complete applications with COVID-19 hardship from March 1, 2020 - December 20, 2020 will be accepted.  Upon review of the application, an email will be sent from the Community Services Department staff as confirmation of a complete application, and a request of supporting documentation.

Applications missing the above information listed above will not be accepted.

Application submission follows: 

  1. Applications can be submitted at crf@cocoafl.org..
    Please note: Florida has a very broad public records law (FS 119.01). As a result, any written communication created or received by the City of Cocoa Water Customer Service Division will be made available to the public and media, upon request, unless otherwise exempt. Under Florida Law, e-mail addresses are public record. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this office.
  2. Hard copy applications are available at 65 Stone Street, Cocoa, FL 32922 in the lobby.  Applications will be picked up Monday-Friday at 4pm with stamped date.
    Only complete applications with COVID-19 hardship from March 1, 2020 - December 20, 2020 will be accepted.  Upon review of the application, an email will be sent from the Community Services Department staff as confirmation of a complete application, and a request of supporting documentation. 

Staff will request supporting documentation based on the Hardship.  Please be prepared to mail or drop off the following upon receiving an email confirmation: 

  • Copy of COVID19 Hardship-Loss of employment hours from paystub, Unemployment Claim or Unemployment Compensation, Letter from Employer of Furlough, Layoff or release.  
  • Copy of driver's license, ID or birth certificate for all household members; 
  • Copy of lease or Fee Simple Deed in applicant's name;
