Burglary at Space Coast Christian Academy

Surveillance images captured a suspect on campus between 1 and 1:45 a.m. Thursday. The suspect is a heavy-set male wearing a fedora and dark rimmed glasses. Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect is asked to contact the Central Florida CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous and can be eligible for cash rewards up to $1,000 in this case.

Detectives Investigate School Burglary

(Cocoa, FL)¬—Detectives are investigating a burglary at Space Coast Christian Academy, 1950 Michigan Avenue. Patrol officers responded to the school just after 7 a.m. Thursday. School administrators arrived to find a broken window and the principal’s office door kicked open. It appears only one laptop was taken. There was no other damage to the property. Detectives plan to review surveillance video from the school security cameras to see if a suspect can be seen. The students were sent to the church portion of the campus while crime scene technicians processed the school. A Rockledge Police Department K-9 team provided assistance in a search of the school to make sure no suspects were still inside. The investigation is ongoing.
