Be Prepared This Hurricane Season by Connecting to the City of Cocoa

As we approach the beginning of Hurricane Season, we must be reminded of the many ways we can prepare ourselves, our families, our homes and our businesses from storm damage. Now is the time to make sure you are ready for when the next storm approaches. Visit the City of Cocoa’s hurricane preparedness website at our City of Cocoa Hurricane page for information on how you can be storm prepared and stay connected before, during and after a storm. On this page, the City also has a number of videos to help prepare prior to a hurricane.

The City of Cocoa works closely with Brevard County Emergency Management to make sure our residents are informed and ready when it comes to storm preparedness. You can also visit their website at www.EmBrevard.com. This hurricane season, know your risks, have a plan, build a kit, stay informed and get involved. Preparedness can reduce fear and increase resiliency from the impacts of disaster.

Remember to continue to adhere to the Center’s for Disease Control guidelines related to social distancing and the COVID19 pandemic. This may impact your disaster plans, so incorporate this in to your disaster preparedness plans.
