Mayor Henry U. Parrish III

Mayor Henry U. Parrish IIII have been a resident of the city of Cocoa for the past 38 years, and am proud to be a member of one of Florida’s pioneer families, which has been in the state of Florida for 190 years.  I feel that my family roots have prepared me for pubic service.  I was
elected Mayor of the city of Cocoa in November 2012.

I graduated from Rockledge High School in 1982.  I currently
am employed by Brunswick Boat Group, where I work in
Product Development and Engineering.  I am the owner of
Parrish Grove Inn Bed & Breakfast, and the owner of
various residential rental properties.  My background is
strictly business.

I was appointed by former Gov. Jeb Bush to serve on the
Technological Research & Development Authority.  I am also a member of the Brevard County Historical Commission, in which I was appointed by former County Commissioner Mary Bolin.  The Brevard County Historical Commission was founded by my mother Ada E. Parrish in 1962.

Cocoa’s biggest challenges are a negative image, crime, and a lack of economic development.  Cocoa has only grown by 1% in population in ten years.  I’ve invested in Cocoa and helped the city on many of its issues for the past 25 years.  I’ll continue to work with the Council and City Management to aggressively solve these problems.  With a renewed focus on PR, we will attract businesses to bring in more jobs and residents.  I will focus on giving the Police Department the tools they need in order to reduce crime, and my vision for City Hall is to provide the best customer service for ALL citizens.

I look forward to serving as your Mayor for the next four years.  Please feel free to contact me at .
