Mission
The mission of Solid Waste Collection is to provide residents and businesses refuse collection service that is convenient, friendly, effective, and cost efficient.

Responsibilities
Cocoa provides its citizens and businesses curb side collection of solid waste, bulk trash, green waste, bulk green waste, recyclables, commercial dumpsters, and roll off services. Collection services are currently provided through a competitively bid private contract with waste management, Incorporated and landfill services are provided by Brevard County.

If a holiday falls on your regular collection day, you will not receive service that day. After the holiday, waste management will resume regular pickup and you will receive service on your next scheduled day.

On the waste management's website, they have an up-to-date listing of holiday schedule and contact information if you are uncertain about a holiday.

Drainage
Please keep drainage inlets clear of palm fronds and other debris. While the public stormwater system is designed and maintained to keep roads open and safe during rainfalls; private properties also receive a residual benefit because typically home properties drain into the city streets. If the drainage inlets near your home become clogged with debris there is a greater potential of flooding.
