Chief's Welcome Message

Welcome to the City of Cocoa, Florida Fire Department web page. The department is a full career department of 42 positions. We proudly serve the citizens with a variety of services including, but not limited to, fire suppression, fire prevention, basic life support, advanced life support, hazardous materials mitigation, public education and more.
These services are provided 24 hours a day with three shifts operating from three stations. Each shift is comprised ofthree company officers and 9 firefighters who are also trained at different levels of the medical field. Daily we staff two engines, a ladder truck and a command vehicle that respond to about 3800 calls for service annually. Well over 95 per cent of those are emergency calls.
The dedicated personnel of the department continually strive to become more proficient. April 1, 2008 marks the date the department went on line with the advanced life support to better serve the citizens of Cocoa.
Cocoa Fire Department is headed up by the Chief, who came on board March of 2008, three District Chiefs and our Administrative Assistant. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at Fire Administration.
