Location

The Dyal Plant is located on State Road 520 in east Orange County.

 

Water treatment

Surface water requires a different treatment method than ground water. Therefore, a new surface water treatment plant has been built alongside the existing ground water treatment plant and came on line in October 1999.

 

Expansion plan

Cocoa constructed a $30 million expansion of the Dyal Plant from June 1997 to November 1999. The expansion allows Cocoa to meet the needs of central Brevard County for many years. Currently, the Dyal Plant has a rated capacity of 48 mgd.
