Did you know that an estimated 25% of U.S. businesses do not re-open following a major disaster? Whether natural or man-made, prepare your business in the event of a disaster. Learn why it is critical for businesses to have a plan and know where to go for help. Hurricane Season is June 1st thru November 30th. Emergency Management Director, Kimberly Prosser, is a Brevard County native with a background in public safety and public relations. She holds bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Central Florida and is a former Rockledge City Council member.

    Join the run, be a hero! Strangers around Brevard County are gaining the true sense of community to rally around their own. Help us create miracles in our own community by bringing strangers together for a morning run to prove amazing things happen when amazing people come together. Following the run there will be a free community breakfast along with a raffle drawing for a Caribbean cruise.

  2. Annual Memorial Day Celebration

    May 27, 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM @ Riverfront Park, downtown Cocoa Village

    Opening remarks will be presented by Colonel Robert J. Pavelko, Vice Commander, 45th Space Wing, Eastern Range Patrick AFB. Our guest speaker for the ceremony is Maureen Miller, a Gold Star Mother whose son, SSG Robert J. Miller, Medal of Honor recipient, was killed in Afghanistan. Ms. Miller will have various remembrances from her son displayed on Memorial Day from 10:30a-12p at the Porcher House at 434 Delannoy Ave., Cocoa, FL. There will be various veterans’ organizations on site, military reenactments, military displays and patriotic music. Our VIP guests are uniformed officers and servicemen from all branches of the military as well as local and state politicians. RAIN OR SHINE the tribute will take place. In inclement weather the event will take place in the Cocoa Civic Center located at 430 Delannoy Ave., Cocoa which is located directly behind the Riverfront Park.
