May 25, 2017 7:15 AM

Beginning Tuesday, May 30 at 7:00 pm, construction crews will be closing portions of Florida Avenue at the intersections of Rosa L. Jones Dr., Factory St., Orange St., Stone St. and Oleander St. to apply the decorative stamped crosswalks. Crews will have detour signs to direct vehicular traffic around the construction activity. The work is expected to continue each night after 7pm until Thursday, June 1.

In addition, the new posted speed limit for Florida Avenue between SR 520 and the southern most city limit is now 25 MPH. The decreased speed limit is for the safety of our bicyclists who will be sharing the roadway with vehicles and for pedestrians crossing the street. Please slow down as you travel along Florida Avenue.
