Retiree Monthly Rates and Billing

The City's Health Group Insurance is covered under Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and Humana as applicable. Our coverage is as follows:
  • Cigna - Medical (retirees under age of 65) and Dental
  • UnitedHealthcare - Medical only under Medicare Advantage (for retirees over age of 65)
  • Humana - Vision
Please refer to the retiree monthly rates. To enroll in your Health Insurance, please visit our online benefit enrollment system BenTek. Don't forget to enroll within 30 days of your retirement date.

Retiree Billing
Upon enrollment, you will receive monthly via regular mail an invoice from the City's Finance Administration Department. Please remit your payment with your invoice to:

Medicare Advantage Plan and Medicare Part B Reimbursement

In order to enroll in UnitedHealthcare (UHC), you must be Medicare eligible and able to provide proof of enrollment with both Medicare Parts A and B. To enroll in UHC please contact 1-877-714-0178, TTY 711 between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm local time, 7 days a week or visit the UnitedHealthcare Retiree website. Please see below:
Medicare Part B Reimbursement
In accordance with the City's Resolution 2009-150, retirees covered under the HIPB 100% will be reimbursed for Medicare Part B. When retirees reach the age of 65 or otherwise become Medicare eligible, the retiree must enroll in both Medicare Part A and Part B within 30 days of becoming Medicare eligible; and enroll in the City's Medicare Advantage plan.

Effective October 1, 2015 Medicare Part B reimbursement will be processed via direct deposit only. Please complete the below form and return to the City's Human Resources Division along with a copy of a voided check:
